Dr. Karina Almeida Leñero is Technical Lead for all matters related to the Energy Transition at Gexcon UK. She has 20 years professional experience in the Energy industry, the last 10 years in Process Safety. Karina started her career at Shell as a research chemist first in catalysis and then in biofuel process development, before spending 6 years as Technical Safety Engineer. She then became the Technical Lead for process safety at TGE Gas Engineering, responsible for the safe design of cryogenic gas terminals. Her current role encompasses not only hydrogen applications, but also Carbon Capture and Storage, ammonia, biofuels and other technologies related to alternative energy.
