Vice President, Byeongyong Yoo (1975) studied Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering at Seoul National University and obtained a Master (2000) and a PhD (2011) of Naval Architecture Engineering degree from the same university. Before his involvement in a shipbuilding industry, he was a faculty in the department of naval architecture at Republic of Korea Naval Academy. In a shipbuilding industry, he has been developing new technologies on LNG carriers, LNG bunkering vessels and LNG fueled ships at Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering(DSME) and Hyundai Heavy Industries(HHI). Currently, he serves as a vice president of Energy System Research Institute of Korea Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering (KSOE). He is leading development of new technologies and new businesses on marine applications of liquefied gas systems such as LNG, hydrogen, ammonia, and carbon dioxide.
