Nick Milne is a Managing Director in the Macquarie Bank Upstream Energy Capital Team in Singapore.

He has over 25 years international oil and gas and LNG experience including 11 years in the finance sector and 16 years of international oil and gas experience working for both E&P and engineering companies throughout the Asia-Pacific region.


Macquarie’s Upstream Energy Capital business is an active investor and arranger of innovative financing solutions across the capital structure for energy projects with a focus on:
1 ) Provision of structured financing solutions to support upstream field developments;
2 ) Structuring of debt and equity financing solutions for midstream production infrastructure including: FPSO, FSRU, and FLNG assets; and
3) Investment into Carbon Capture Sequestration (CCS) & Hydrogen projects to support energy transition and decarbonisation of industrial emitters.


Nick joined Macquarie in 2015, with previous roles in the finance sector including acting as in-house LNG technical specialist for both ANZ Bank and the Asian Investment Banking Division of MUFG Bank. Nick's last industry role was with Woodside as part of the leadership team for the Browse LNG development in the role of Strategy, Governance and Project Coordination Manager. Previous roles on the project included engineering management and integration roles during the concept selection/pre-FEED phase. His industry experience covers the full life-cycle of oil and gas projects from front end field development assessment and concept selection through project delivery, construction and operations support.


Nick has a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical & Process Engineering, and has completed executive education at both Wharton and the University of Cambridge. He is a Chartered Professional Engineer and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
