Anders Porsborg-Smith is a Managing Director and Partner at Boston Consulting Group, where he serves as a global leader of BCG’s Gas and LNG business and heads the European Corporate Finance and Strategy in Energy practice. As a member of the Energy Practice Leadership Team, Anders plays a pivotal role in advising energy companies on strategic transformations to navigate the energy transition. 

With extensive experience in the energy sector, Anders has supported the development of growth strategies for major shipping companies, led international gas strategies for large integrated oil companies (IOCs), and evaluated portfolio compositions for national oil companies (NOCs). His work spans energy scenario creation, transition strategies from coal to LNG, and integrated value chain optimization. Additionally, he has restructured commercial operations, designed performance management frameworks, and led digital enablement initiatives for leading energy organizations worldwide. 

Before joining BCG, Anders gained valuable expertise in commodity trading through senior roles at Mercuria Energy Trading, Merrill Lynch, and NEAS Energy. He holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Aalborg University.
