Scott McLemore is a Project Manager for Chevron New Energies (CNE), a position he has held since May 2022. CNE was launched in 2021 to accelerate the company’s energy transition strategy by growing lower carbon businesses. He began his engineering career in 2013 and over the years has gained extensive experience in upstream oil and gas facilities engineering and operations support, fitness for service equipment evaluations, detailed design support, and project management of projects from concept development through design, construction, startup, and operation. The primary focus of these projects has been on supporting continual upstream brownfield operations including field expansions, tank repair and detailed design, oil dehydration plant optimization, and steam system delivery for enhanced oil recovery. Recently, Scott’s focus has been on managing carbon capture and hydrogen pilot projects that will be integrated into existing upstream oil and gas fields. Scott holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from California State University, Fresno, and is a Licensed Professional Engineer (Civil) in the state of California.
