Mark Kevenaar started his career in the LNG industry in 2005 when he joined Shell's Gas and LNG Design team in The Hague as an experienced hire. Prior to this, he spent seven years as a lead process engineer for an international engineering contractor. Since then he continued working in the LNG business in various roles, ranging from Design Integrator to Technology manager, supporting existing operations, development of new projects and technology maturation. Geographically, this has brought him from the Netherlands to Oman and Russia.
Upon his return in the Netherlands, Mark served as the Technical Lead for New Business Development and Licensing in which played a critical role in the commercialization of Shell’s LNG technologies. In his current role as Manager LNG and Cryogenics Technology Maturation, he is driving technology solutions for the future of cost and carbon competitive LNG, both for existing as well as new assets. This involves technology maturation across the entire LNG value chain from midstream export through to shipping, regasification and LNG for transport.
Mark holds a master degree in Chemical Engineering (Msc) and an Engineering Doctorate in Process and Equipment Design (EngD) from Delft University of Technology
