Mario Calado has a master’s degree in chemical engineering from IST Lisbon (Portugal) and got his PhD in the same field from Imperial College London (UK).

Mario is an Integrated Solutions Lead with 10 years of experience in process modelling and optimization in the Energy and Chemicals business unit. He currently works at Siemens Digital Industries, where he is responsible for the overall technical management of Digital Application projects, including build and validate digital twin models as well as testing and commissioning and maintenance of the overall solution.

In his current role, he leads Digital Twin projects in several areas within the energy sector such as Gas Processing, LNG, CCUS, power generation and clean water
