Johan P Tutturen has more than 30 years of experience in the maritime oil and gas industry embracing a huge variety of technical aspects as well as managing people and managers. He graduated from the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy in 1983 followed by several technical positions in the navy with the latest assignment as chief engineer on-board a frigate (steam propulsion) before joining DNV in 1990. He has 14 years of operational experience in the Far East (Korea and Japan) from plan approval activities to ship new-building site supervision (oil and gas (LNG) tankers) and more than 5 years as Country Manager for DNV Japan. Tutturen’s experience also encompasses 5 years as Head of the new-building department at DNV’s Head Office in Oslo, 7 years as global Business Director for LNGCs and FSRUs and had till end of May 2023 the responsibility to develop sustainable shipping concepts for transport of hydrogen and CO2. June 1st this year he joined Clarksons Green Transition Group in Norway where he will focus on CCS/CO2 carriers as well as ship transport of ammonia.
