Giannalberto is a Partner in the Public Law, Regulatory & Competition group at international law firm Watson Farley & Williams Italy.

He provides legal advice to Italian and foreign companies on administrative law, energy law, public procurement and transport.

As administrative law specialist, he has gained experience in particular in the renewable energy sector, in relation to the development of wind, photovoltaic and hydrogen projects.

With specific reference to hydrogen, in 2022 Giannalberto has been appointed as a member of the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance Permitting Working Group ('APWG'). In this context, he contributed to the drafting of the final report on the permitting of hydrogen projects published by the APWG, which identifies potential recommendations and best practices to be implemented to improve the production and use of clean hydrogen in line with the REPowerEU objectives.

In addition, he assists on an ongoing basis the second largest operator in Italy of gas transport pipelines and provides assistance (for both consultancy and litigation) to international companies operating public services (transports, including aviation, gas distribution and water service).
