Graduated in Mechanical Engineering and in Naval Architecture, Benoit Grovel began his professional career in 1998 as Project Engineer at Bureau Veritas. He then joined Total in 2001 as Technical Superintendent in the Shipping division. Up until 2010, Benoit was responsible for overseeing the shipbuilding of LNG carriers.
Between 2012 and 2017, he worked on the Ichthys project as Engineering Manager. He followed up its construction and then was finally appointed Transportation and Installation Lead, before heading back to the LNG Shipping Department at Total.
His current position is Gas Expertise Team Director at Bureau Veritas M&O.
