Akhil Golla is an experienced professional passionate about sustainable energy. Akhil has lived and worked in India, Spain and Netherlands with 9 years of demonstrated work experience in the energy industry and has handled projects worth over $70 millions. Akhil has worked across the supply chain and has a diverse background with assignments in business strategy, product design and launch, business development, operations, safety, and statutory liaison. Akhil is passionate about sustainable energy, and his vision is to create a positive impact in society through sustainable solutions. Akhil is known for his unconventional approach to solving problems and strong moral values. Work Experience Product Development Manager, sustainable fuels Post completion of his MBA, Akhil Golla joined SHV Energy in the sustainable fuels function as a product development manager. In his role, he is responsible for finding new products and services to expand the company’s sustainable fuels portfolio to reach the bold ambition “to source 100% of its energy products from renewable sources by 2040”. His primary areas of focus include developing a hydrogen business for SHVE, exploring opportunities in carbon capture and utilization and review the potential role of other interesting novel fuels such as green ammonia, methanol and hybrid solutions such as CHP systems etc. Project manager, LPG Infrastructure projects Akhil led a strategic LPG Terminal expansion project, by optimizing the Capex and by implementing new technologies & innovative ideas. In this role Akhil has also led multiple LPG bottling plant projects, feasibility studies and Investment proposals. He also developed India’s LPG demand-supply forecast scenario and identified key markets for group’s expansion. Akhil also led the statutory approvals for SHV group at Prime minister’s office and various ministries for promotion of investment and signed various MoU’s resulting accelerated approvals and special incentives. Business Development executive, Solar, LPG Akhil in this role helped in formulating Group’s Global renewable energy strategy and was instrumental in implementing the strategy in India. Akhil estimated market potential and studied policy frameworks in target markets, screened 100+ business propositions to find a strategic fit. Akhil also successfully developed expansion strategy for LPG retail segment in India to capture new markets and increase market share in existing markets. Implemented the strategy by launching a new size of LPG cylinder in the market. Operations and safety executive, LPG operations In this role, Akhil worked in the largest bottling plant of SHV India, and was responsible for production management, operations and safety. He then moved to the corporate to help other filling plants optimize their operations. Akhil was also the interim safety coordinator for the business unit, where responsible for monitoring operational and logistics safety across 22 Filling plants, 3 terminals and 100+ customer locations. He also launched a new safety management system for SHV Indiaand overhauled the country wide Crisis Management policy for better emergency preparedness.
