Thorbjörn Fors is the Senior Vice President of Siemens Energy in Asia Pacific.
Siemens Energy is global energy technology company with products, offerings and solutions spanning across the entire energy value chain. Fors is responsible for overseeing regional operations across the Pacific, South-East Asia and South Asia, and driving the company to a profitable growth.
Before his current appointment, Fors served as the Executive Vice President of Siemens Energy’s Industrial Applications Division. He has held multiple senior management positions, overseeing complex multi-faceted operations and multi-billion-euro P&L.
Previously, Fors was the CEO of Distributed Generation and Oil & Gas business unit at Siemens, a position created by the merger of Dresser-Rand, Rolls Royce Energy Services, and Siemens Distributed Generation Services. Before joining Siemens, Fors held leadership positions at ABB Power Generation and ALSTOM, with responsibilities extending across Canada, Asia, Australia, Middle East, and Northern Europe.
Fors has consistently demonstrated and delivered on bold and strategic vision, delivering tangible results for stakeholder amidst seasons of change. Throughout his tenure at Siemens, he has contributed to expanding the organization’s global footprint and led numerous successful financial turnarounds.
With a background in mechanical engineering, Fors combines an innate curiosity and excitement for innovation to solve business challenges and drive strategic growth. He takes pride in leading diverse teams under a shared vision to create value and provide access to sustainable, reliable, and affordable energy on a global scale.
