Jane Toogood is Chief Executive of Catalyst Technologies sector at Johnson Matthey, a global leader in sustainable technologies that enable a cleaner and healthier world. Jane leads a business of £450m sales (21/22) and aims to enable the transition towards net zero through new solutions for decarbonisation and circularity. To meet ambitious net zero goals, Jane continues to advocate for industry groups, government and other stakeholders to come together to accelerate the energy transition. Jane serves as the UK’s first Hydrogen Champion and also serves as joint chair of the UK Government’s Hydrogen Advisory Council.Jane’s deep experience of leading business transformation and growth has been built over many years across a number of global business management, senior commercial and business development roles within the global chemical industry, covering multiple industry sectors from automotive, to healthcare, to petrochemicals. She has worked internationally for many years, for companies such as Borealis, ICI and Uniqema in Europe and the US and is currently based in the UK. Jane Toogood holds an MA in Natural Sciences (chemistry) from the University of Oxford.
