As the energy industry embarks on the journey toward a decarbonized future, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are imperative pillars for building the energy workforce of the future. The Gastech Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Energy Program is designed to ignite conversation and foster collaboration around talent. The attraction, retention, development, and promotion of a diverse workforce play an indispensable role in driving innovation and shaping the trajectory of the energy sector.
Participating in the panel discussion at Gastech's Supply Chain & Procurement programme was a fantastic experience. It was insightful to engage with industry leaders from petrochemical, energy, and private sectors on the critical topic of procurement, both in goods and in developing a well-trained workforce. The dialogue reinforced the essential collaboration between education and industry in meeting workforce and product supply demands.
For me, Gastech is about reconnecting with long time colleagues, old friends and new ones in an environment that breeds excitement about our energy industry and engaging with subject matter experts from all over the world to learn, grow and share ideas that can create a better, more sustainable future for us all. Being invited to speak on topics I am passionate about and facilitate panel discussions, at the Supply Chain & Procurement programme, with thought leaders who have and continue to use their lives to make the lives of others better.
Participating the Supply Chain & Procurement programme in 2024 was a stimulating opportunity for discussion with top-level companies in the energy sector, allowing an open discussion on central issues of this industry and collecting feedback and food for thought that strengthen and make us reflect on strategic and executive practices of work, projects and supply chain management.
Being a speaker at Gastech 2024's Supply Chain & Procurement programme was a valuable experience. Great interaction with the audience and meeting numerous suppliers and subcontractors regarding sustainability in the supply chain has broadened my horizon and perspective regarding this important topic.
The Supply Chain & Procurement programme is an outstanding platform for networking and exchanging insights. I had a fantastic experience joining my colleagues on a panel to discuss resiliency, risk mitigation, and the challenges and opportunities shaping our industry. Engaging with peers in such a dynamic setting provided valuable perspectives and reinforced the importance of collaboration in navigating today’s complex supply chain landscape.
